What's that sound? Version 2.0

It was late in the night.
Arvind was working with the various assignments given to him at school . Meanwhile, he was having my earphones on and was entangled in the sound of music. Then, getting bored of more and more music, he switched off his gadget. Eerily, he started hearing a sound, an uniform sound. "Was it the sound of wind whizzing past my house?", he thought. Then an afterthought struck him, 'does wind blow uniformly?' Scolding himself for some absurd, eccentric thinking, he never gave food for that thought. But his ears couldn't escape that sound, that uniform, enchanting sound which had suddenly become the centre of his curiosity.

He couldn't avoid guessing what it would be. (Is it a burglar making his way in stealthily? Oops, He's not Sherlock Holmes and this is not the Red-Headed League) Is it the sound of water gushing out of the taps left open? Being busy doing nothing, he tried to guess some others. But, he had to finally consider that this one was the only guess of some sense. Lazily, he stood up, searched all the rooms to see whether any taps were open. Nope! He couldn't find any of the taps open. Just then, he had a sudden thought of the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Another afterthought again, he said to himself, "Haha! Trying to be a detective or what? You're fit enough only to read those books, bloke!"

But he certainly couldn't avoid that sound. Where was it from? What does it have to do at this time of the night? He searched his house, all over again. But again- same result- nothing of importance. He wandered around the house, probably a little disappointed and aimless as well. It was a test to his endurance and skill (if he had anything remaining!). With all hopes sent packed in the wind, he was walking slowly to retire to bed.

Suddenly, his eyes were fixed on the window sill. He could see droplets of water hanging on it.
There, it dawned on him, the real reason behind the sound. He went to the balcony and viewed it for himself. It was the rain, the belligerent rain, hustling and bustling through the thin air, and pouring out like never before...
His mind had another afterthought, "How the hell did you miss guessing this out?"

- Mind it! This is just an imagination. I wanted to summarize it by rendering a lively feeling to my thought through my words. Do send in your comments on this topic.

Our mindboggling mindsets

People react in various ways when they are at varied positions. Sometimes things may go from bad to worse. But mostly, the very context of how we think is the one to blame (and sometimes to praise) for whatever that happens around us. I have classified people as those who are Optimistic, those who are Realistic and those who are Pessimistic. Philosophers, right from the past have pointed out that Optimistic are the ones who succeed the most and the people who are Pessimistic are those deemed to fetch failure after failure. I have a different concept:

It doesn't matter whether we are Optimistic, Pessimistic or Realistic.
It is the way we proceed with our ideology that decides what we are going to achieve!
When we are optimistic we fell something like this: "Right, I can do this!" If we move on with the same attitude, without any doubt, we are trudging in the path of success. When we are optimistic, we have to make sure the budding confidence of optimism shouldn't grow into over-confidence. Too much of anything is good for nothing.

When we are realistic, we understand what we have fetched and what is left to be etched. This, as I feel, is the most centralized mind. We know our pros and cons and we know our shortcomings too. To be precise, we can know our capability. When we have this mindset, we have to take cue from our achievement and use the same in our shortcomings to bring out the best in us.

Finally, when we are pessimistic, we are short of the confidence and belief in our strengths. Making people come out of this painful feeling is quite tough. A pessimistic person, after viewing is debacle must not lose his heart and conclude, "Well, I have failed now. I am a loser." This will lead to continuation of failures. Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.

We have to analyze where we've went wrong and make sure, he same mistakes aren't repeated the next time. That shows the difference between a level headed man and others. We have to show that we are people of substance and those who can achieve glory in whatever matter focus upon.

I'm a 15 year old and this is what I know from all my past experiences. The world is still novice to me when I'm compared to the people around me. If my work has any shortcomings, you can tell me about it and I will move on with whatever mindset I have to make sure the loopholes get filled up. Have a nice day!

Cheers,

Joy and Pleasure

The world can be compared to the universe. The universe contains numerous stars which are different from each other. Similarly, the earth has people, each person unique in their own aspects. The people are known in their society primarily based on their economic class (sadly, that is not the case when it comes to nation as a whole).

Pleasures are known to be better than joy at times. It has succeeded in making people enjoy in their life. Pleasures are not born easily. . It is born when people enjoy something the most (be it anything). That is what has got them such a position. They must have initially been poor in the level of enjoyment too. Now, they may seem to be giving a person some really good enjoyment.

Joy is what is natural. A person doesn't need something to making him enjoy the joy. The joy will spontaneously get him to be happy. This is pure and happens naturally. Joy is up there for a purist to be happy with. If we are going to be happy with something around us, what else do we want?

Pleasure is something that will make you enjoy. It is not what you enjoy yourself, but what you are induced to enjoy. Joy is like a déjà vu with happiness. Pleasure wants everyone to enjoy. It is not what is enjoyed within the self. It wants the people, the strangers to enjoy with it. This isn't genuine. Joy is what props up in our soul. The inner mind experiences it with utmost happiness. It doesn't take care whether anyone around it enjoys. All it wants is happiness entangled with satisfaction for having it.

Pleasure is Instantaneous Happiness.
Joy is Eternal Happiness.
Now we can choose between Joy and Pleasure!

- This was what I felt as a difference between joy and pleasure. As the first paragraph points out, every person's opinion differs as people are unique. So, make sure what you feel is reflected as well because this is all about the various opinions. Also, do comment on this article

What is the root cause of success?

"SUCCESS" is a word of utmost importance in a person's life... A student wants to be successful in his academics. An employee wants his job to be successful. A businessman wants his ventures to be successful. An employer wants his firm to be successful. A player wants to be successful. SUCCESS according to dictionaries mean the positive termination of a work. But success to we people means a lot more than that.

SUCCESS LIES IN THE EFFORT AND NOT IN THE RESULT. Everyone finds the success that's innate with effort. It is the effort that finds us the success. I cited some examples above about success. A student, an employee, a businessman, an employer, a player, all want to be successful, alright! But from where did this success originate? It is without doubt, in the effort that one takes.

The root cause of success is, without doubt, EFFORT. But does it give us the utmost satisfaction? No. When the result of an effort is known, and when it does point out that it is a success, it is then that we find the complete significance and essence of success.
A positive result is an afterthought of success which has been achieved through effort. Yet, it is the result which gives a jubilant feeling to the person. The effort is given less credit even though it deserves a lot more!

The essence of a living being on earth!

I've always been pondering about the real need a person possesses to live on earth. There were individuals of positive influence and people of the other sect too... But that doesn't matter.. A person on earth is usually contented by doing some work. The work may be giving the world a positive or negative result. We remember the way Niel Armstrong spoke in a splendid manner when he set his foot on the Moon, "This is a small step, but a giant leap to mankind!" We still keep that in mind. Everyone in this world gave their cheers for it without distinguishing that it was an American win. They considered that it was a win for mankind over the illustrious nature. It is this kind of positive visualization that it is required in this millennium. A positive thought is usually a result of strategic win over the negative influence. Albert Einstein, once said, "IF YOU WANT A CHANGE IN THE WORLD, YOU BE THE CHANGE." Analyzing his words can point out that he was a sort of person who always wanted a radical change in the world. His rational talks expressed it in an impeccable manner.

The present generation is bubbling with radical thoughts that world hasn't seen such a lot of courage earlier. This generation will consider the words of Winston Churchill and Ernesto Guevara over the literary thoughts of William Shakespeare.
Therefore, radical thinking is highly preferred in this world. The word 'Radical' simply means a change, a new idea. THIS IS THE AGE OF INNOVATION and people have to accept it because that is what is going to drive the human thoughts for the time to come. Russia and Cuba were some of the nations that were always looking to follow the ancient thoughts and customs.. But now, what are we seeing? We are seeing what is a changed world. In no time, Gandhi's words of Ahimsa (Opt patience over sudden instinct) have hit the museums and even people, who once followed it have refurbished their ideas saying those words are ought to be forgotten in this so called new world.. So what is the positive thing in here? It is nothing but analyzing failures and adopting techniques so that this feeling will arouse the feelings of a person to perform, perform in a far more better way.. That's what is the world for you to take.. Hoping to see your comments, this is Gopalakrishnan signing off.
